Burger Joint

Look for the sign behind the curtain!

Cheese Burger, Medium Rare, The Works.

Burger Joint's burgers are good but not the best. Minetta Tavern still has the title for me.
I would definitely go back for the experience. It feels like your in a secret restaurant.

Pastrami

Nothing like thinly sliced meat on rye bread. Pastrami sandwich from Carnegie Deli.
p.s. Katz's is still better

Trick? or Treat?

A special package all the way from Japan?... wonder what it could be...

Can anyone read this? My wild guess would be "open"

That's right this came all the way from Asia. This better be worth it!

I guess this says, "Warning: Be prepared to open a bag of Awesomeness" or somewhere in those lines.

Nom Nom.
I saw this one day on instagr.am from a post from @anncurtissmith and I decided that I had to try it.
All I can say is this box will not last till the weekend...

Finally! Falooda!

The last time I had this was years ago and the restaurant that sold it had closed down. After years of searching I've found a place where they sell falooda! Yes I climbed mountains, swam rivers, got lost in the forest, took the subway, and finally found the hidden village they call Jackson Heights.

Okay, I lied. I didn't take the subway, I walked...

This Indian dessert does the job specially after eating very spicy food. It's served cold and is very sweet and creamy. I really have no idea what they put in this but its damn good. There's some mini tapioca with some jello i'm guessing? Then they add the yellow creamy liquid and two packets of what looked like ice cream, and when stirred chills the whole thing. The closest thing I can compare it to is a very watered down Filipino fruit salad.

Give it a try at Gourmet Sweets and Restaurant for $6.
One order is probably good to share for two unless you really like your sweets and isn't lactose intolerant.

Pig Candy

I'll give you a minute to clean yourself after all that salivating... Yes this is the Chocolate-Covered Bacon by Roni-Sue from the Essex Street Market. I was doing a shoot in the area and I figure why not grab one to see what all the fuzz is about. All I gotta say is this thing is worth the $5! It might sound expensive for how little you get but once the party starts in your mouth your gonna want more! The salty bacon and the sweet chocolate just complements each other perfectly. The bacon is also extremely crunchy and just crumbles into little pieces and give you a lot of crunch as you chew.

I enjoyed this more than the Vosges Haut Chocolate's Mo's Bacon Bar. Vosges' was a bit more saltier on the pallet.

Try both and see which one you prefer!

First time in Barclays, please be gentle.

It was a very rainy, crazy traffic, all around shitty day drive over the Brooklyn bridge.

Massive LED outside

Funny how the first basketball even isn't the Brooklyn Nets. My bro and I basically went anyways because 1. We wanted to see the new stadium, and 2. tickets were free! Thanks Jay! It was actually a pretty entertaining show and we got pretty nice seats.

Decided to go to 67 Burger after seeing it in Scoutmob's newsletter. It did not disappoint. We both got "the 67 burger" with creamy blue cheese and crispy bacon; medium rare. They give you a lot of crispy bacon under the meat. The actual burger was also pretty heavy, I struggled to finish it. We also got onion rings and sweet potato fries on the side. The soda have free refills which was awesome!

The waitress actually spilled my soda on me as she was giving me my plate. It's okay I forgive you. She's lucky I didn't get mad because I was too hungry to care, the burger was right there just waiting to be eaten, and I was already slightly wet walking from the car under the rain. I guess that free refill payed off after all!

We were going to pass by Juniors but traffic prevented us. Plan B? Patacon Pisao! Hell yeh! best tres leches and its just a few blocks away from my house. This post was longer than I intended it to be and my dessert is calling me just waiting to be devoured.

Connecticut Quicky

This is his 'I'm not touching that non Mac laptop' face.

What a douche!

Chillin on the floor with his HTC phone and Jordans

People still have these? I wonder if this still works. My very first Dell computer looked very similar to this. We might also have the same printer. If sold on ebay, this would probably be as rare as a 'Jesus Toast'

Read the book then watch the movie.. or just go watch the movie. Just do it!

 We found our own tunnel...

Met a drunk Irish man outside a pub bitching about how much he hates Aamerica and that he doesn't feel free in this country and other bs like that. We ended up getting "VIP" access to the backyard of the bar just cuz we're AWESOME

Had to finish the night with some HALAL

Shoot!

Men at work

Another shoot later that day by the High Line

"Chicken Joy"

This is probably the best home made fried chicken. Chris' own version of the Chicken Joy. Cut into small chucks you get a crispy crunch with every bite. Unfortunately the only time I get to taste it is when we visit them in NC or when they come here to visit.
