Burger Joint

Look for the sign behind the curtain!

Cheese Burger, Medium Rare, The Works.

Burger Joint's burgers are good but not the best. Minetta Tavern still has the title for me.
I would definitely go back for the experience. It feels like your in a secret restaurant.

Pastrami

Nothing like thinly sliced meat on rye bread. Pastrami sandwich from Carnegie Deli.

Trick? or Treat?

A special package all the way from Japan?... wonder what it could be...

Can anyone read this? My wild guess would be "open"

That's right this came all the way from Asia. This better be worth it!

I guess this says, "Warning: Be prepared to open a bag of Awesomeness" or somewhere in those lines.

Nom Nom.
I saw this one day on instagr.am from a post from @anncurtissmith and I decided that I had to try it.
All I can say is this box will not last till the weekend...

Finally! Falooda!

The last time I had this was years ago and the restaurant that sold it had closed down. After years of searching I've found a place where they sell falooda! Yes I climbed mountains, swam rivers, got lost in the forest, took the subway, and finally found the hidden village they call Jackson Heights.

Okay, I lied. I didn't take the subway, I walked...

This Indian dessert does the job specially after eating very spicy food. It's served cold and is very sweet and creamy. I really have no idea what they put in this but its damn good. There's some mini tapioca with some jello i'm guessing? Then they add the yellow creamy liquid and two packets of what looked like ice cream, and when stirred chills the whole thing. The closest thing I can compare it to is a very watered down Filipino fruit salad.

Give it a try at Gourmet Sweets and Restaurant for $6.
One order is probably good to share for two unless you really like your sweets and isn't lactose intolerant.
